Bangkok Life Assurance continuously supports health and sports by providing life insurance for the athletes, coaches and staffs to heighten morale and give their best in the 28th SEA Games in Singapore, worth more than 133 million Baht, enhancing the readiness and confidence in preparation to win for the country.

Pol Gen Sant Sarutanond, President of the Athletic Association of Thailand Patron : His Majesty the King, said at the “Bangkok Life Assurance supports the Thai athlete troop in this 28th Sea Games” press conference, “On the behalf of the Athletic Association of Thailand, I am very pleased and honoured that Bangkok Life Assurance is taking into an account of the well being of the athletes and coaches by insuring them to heightening their morale. In athlete achievements, not only physical strength and great skills, they also must be strong mentally.”

Thai athletes have been the team who established a name for Thailand, in national competitions and regional such as Asian Games and SEA Games and have won the highest gold medals in their 8th consecutive years. Bangkok Life Assurance has intended to support for the readiness continuously, since the 27th Sea Games and the recent 2014 Asian Games. This support emphasises the concept of “Promoting health and Sports for a happier life”. The insurance policies, covering from medical expenses from accidents, permanent disablement and loss of life to the athletes, coaches and staff at the amount of 1 million Baht per person, a total of 133 million Baht. So that everyone can give their best and win for Thailand in this 28th SEA Games which will take place on 5th-16th June in Singapore.”

Major Surapong Ariyamongkol, Vice President and Secretary General of the Athletics Association of Thailand, mentioned about the preparation of the Thai athletes for the 28th SEA Games, “In this SEA Games, our 133 members of Thai athletes, coaches and staff are well-prepared, with Coach Andre Carson, a former USA runner including athletes from last SEA Games and new blood joining this year. Physically and mentally, we are considered very ready. This year, we set our goal to do even better than the previous one, which also had been supported by Bangkok Life Assurance for 3 years; enabled the athletes to show their true potentials and competing with worry-free. I am very confident that the team will win the gold medals for the people as expected.”
