In recognition of its achievement in product and service development for health and financial security of the Thai people, Bangkok Life Assurance (BLA) today received the “Company with the Best Health Insurance Coverage of the Year” award at the Emerging Asia Insurance Awards 2019 held at Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel.
The awards ceremony was part of the 2nd Emerging Asia Insurance Conclave & Awards, organised by Indian Chamber of Commerce along with Insurance Institute of India, India-Thai Chamber of Commerce, Life Insurance Council of India, General Insurance Council of India and PricewaterhouseCoopers. The event was to honour the efforts made by Asian insurance companies as well as discuss the current economic conditions and its ramifications on the insurance sector. This year’s theme was “Insurance in the Service of the Customer” and the event was participated by representatives from insurance companies, IT companies and relevant organisations to work out a growth path having both digital and human touch.

The Emerging Asia Insurance Awards 2019 comprised 12 awards categories. As for “Company with the Best Health Insurance Coverage of the Year”, it is judged by types of health coverage on offer, product comprehensiveness, core and supplementary services for the insured, and the quality of service including average time to settle a health claim, average claim size and claim settlement ratio.
